In 1959, Rolf Schlicht GmbH was founded by graduate chemist Rolf Schlicht. Due to the company’s progressive development over the years, Rolf Schlicht’s two sons, Joachim and Michael, joined the company in 1979. They are leading Rolf Schlicht GmbH today.
After 50 years in business, Rolf Schlicht GmbH employs ten people and continues its involvement in the sales and technology of machines and complete production lines for the rubber and cable industry. Additionally, we are increasingly engaged in the plastics industry.
We represent several well-known machine manufacturers from Italy, Switzerland, Great Britain and the Unites States, among them BLACKFRIARS, COMERIO ERCOLE, FRIUL FILIERE, HUESTIS, PRODICON, PUGNO, SAGITTA and WALLACE.
Furthermore, since January 2005 we also represent NORMEC/Norway, manufacturers of machines and systems for joining rubber and silicone profiles, as well as of moulds and rubber foils.
USD Gebrauchtmaschinen GmbH - 25 Years Young
In 1982, our subsidiary USD Gebrauchtmaschinen GmbH was founded, which is mainly engaged in procuring and selling used and reconditioned machines and whole lines for the rubber industry, but also offers a choice of new machines.
Schlicht Handelsgesellschaft oHG
With Schlicht Handelsgesellschaft oHG, a second subsidiary was founded in 1995. This company concentrates on cleaning technology and dosing systems for the plastics industry. The product range includes RAPDID PURGE cleaning compound, SEGHERS KÉPPEL cleaning systems, DUROPLAST plastic-blast medium and MOVACOLOR dosing devices.
Machines Manufactured by Ourselves
Already more than 25 years ago, Rolf Schlicht GmbH started working on the development of powder-coating machines type RSC for continuously running strands, mainly in the cable and rubber industry.
Together with a specialised machine manufacturer near Hamburg, we are meanwhile already producing the fourth generation of our powder-coating systems. Due to an absolutely dust-free operation and a finely adjustable powdering intensity, these machines are supplied worldwide.
We deliver systems for manifold areas: from high-speed cable lines to extrusion lines for rubber profiles, hoses or bands, production of moulded goods and more. We also develop special systems designed exactly for the requirements of particular customers.
Furthermore, together with our partner, we have been manufacturing for some years high-precision cutting machines and caterpillars type RS-Multicut for plastics and rubber extrusion. Our systems represent the latest state of technology, they guarantee clean cut faces, are flexibly applicable and require little maintenance. These machines are worldwide in demand.
Technical advice, fast delivery of spare parts ex our stock in Hamburg and prompt service are as much our strength as are personal visits to customers’ factories and trials at our facilities.
To provide as much information as possible about our product range and to maintain personal contacts, we travel around the world and exhibit on trade fairs, for example, the “K”, “Wire”, “IRC” and “Fakuma”.
For machines manufactured by ourselves, we also have a worldwide network of agencies, ready to serve our customers.
Beyond that, we persistently look for interesting new equipment and new technology for our customers.
In 1997, we changed our office location to new, larger and more modern facilities. A larger stock of spare parts and a technical centre for execution of trials further promoted the progression and expansion of the company. Today, this enables us to attend to our customers even more intensively than before.
